Peonies! An amazing addition to the garden and blooms close to Mother's Day and one of our favorite flowers. Likes rich, well-drained soil with some shade during the day. We have some placed in full blazing sun all day, and some in sun with afternoon shade - those with afternoon shade are happier.

'Kansas' features large, double blooms packed with watermelon-red petals. 'Kansas' is considered to be one of the best double red peonies.

• Grows 3' tall & wide, space 3' apart. Plant just below the soil surface, no more than 1'' deep.
• Plant in the fall season as long as the soil is not frozen.
• Herbaceous, long-lived perennial.
