Verbena bonariensis is an herbaceous perennial that is gorgeous in a cottage-style garden. Glowing rose-violet flowers attract so many butterflies, hummingbirds and goldfinches to our perennial garden each year. We allow the plants to stand throughout the winter to provide seed for the birds.
